![]() ![]() Horace is survived by four children, sons Robert, Kenneth and Raymond, a daughter Susan Berzin, nine grandchildren and a sister, Dorothy Van Herwerde.Ī celebration of his life will be held at The Woodland Commons Center, Cedar Crest Village, One Cedar Crest Drive, Pompton Plains, NJ 07444 on Friday, Jat 11 AM. Knox was predeceased by his wife of 52 years, Claire D. Horace was an avid golfer and a past member of the Glen Ridge Country Club and the Upper Montclair Country Club. Knox was also a member of the Serra Club of West Essex, the Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce and the Elks Lodge. During his career, he served as the President of the Glen Ridge Rotary Club, President of the Board of Realtors of Bloomfield, Belleville, Nutley and Glen Ridge and was a past director of the NJ Association of Realtors and the National Institute of Farm and Land Brokers. Knox was a real estate broker and operated his business for many decades out of the Arcade Building, which he owned, in Glen Ridge. ![]() He remained an active pilot throughout his life, flying single engine planes until age 83. Navy and graduated from Seton Hall University after serving as a naval aviator during WW II. ![]() Horace was born in Bridgeport, Ct, attended Newark College of Engineering (Rutgers University) before enlisting in the U.S. He lived for many years in Glen Ridge and also resided in Branchburg and Highland Lakes, NJ. Knox was a resident of Cedar Crest Village in Pompton Plains, NJ. Knox, 87, died Friday Jin Manhattan following a brief illness.
